Highland Kitchener Dentist is a family and cosmetic dental office at 140 Highland Rd W in west Kitchener. Who we are and how we work
Our goal is simple: good dental care for the whole family, delivered in a way that makes sense to the person in the chair. That starts with listening. Before we recommend anything, we want to know what brought you in, what’s bothering you, and what matters to you about your teeth and your smile.
Our practice is fully digital. Patient files, x-rays and ortho-panoramic radiographs are all stored and viewed on screen, which keeps visits efficient and makes it easy to compare images over time. During treatment we use an intraoral camera, so you can see the same close-up view of a tooth that we do. It’s much easier to understand a crack, a worn filling or an area of gum inflammation when you can see it for yourself, and it makes choosing between treatment options a shared decision instead of a leap of faith.
Most of your care happens right here in our office, which means fewer referrals, shorter waits between steps and one team that knows your history from start to finish. Periodontal surgery is available case by case after an assessment, and some patients may be referred to a specialist. Dental implant treatment is available case by case after an assessment, and some patients may be referred for part of their implant care.

Your first visit
A first visit to Highland Kitchener Dentist usually includes a complete dental exam with diagnostics and a full set of x-rays. In most cases we also do a thorough cleaning and a periodontal (gum) assessment. By the end of the appointment you’ll know where things stand, what needs attention now, what can wait, and what you can do at home in the meantime.
For families, we recommend that children start visiting the dentist at about three years old, with exams and cleanings twice a year depending on the health of their gums. For teenagers and older patients, we suggest an orthodontic consultation to check how the teeth and bite are developing.

It’s a convenient spot for families in Forest Heights, Westmount and Belmont, and for anyone in the west end who would rather not cross the city for a dental visit. Our contact page has the full address and a way to send us a message. If it’s your first time with us, bring your dental insurance details or your CDCP member card, along with a list of any medications you take, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Insurance, direct billing and CDCP
We bill most dental plans directly, so in most cases you only pay the part your plan doesn’t cover. Some specialist work may be billed differently, and we’ll tell you ahead of time if that applies. Fees are explained before treatment starts, and if you’d like, we can send an estimate to your insurer first. We also see patients covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan. For anything your plan doesn’t cover, we accept credit cards and cash.
